How often should commercial floors be waxed in Toronto?
Most commercial floors want a strip and wax two to four times a year, with buffing and scrubbing in between. High-traffic spots — retail, hospitals, schools, busy Scarborough shop floors — usually need it more often. We will look at your floor and tell you a schedule that actually fits the wear it sees.
What is the difference between floor waxing and floor polishing?
Waxing means laying a protective wax or finish coat onto the floor. Polishing, or buffing, runs a high-speed machine over the existing wax to bring the shine up. Strip and wax takes the old wax off completely before fresh coats go down. We do all three for east-GTA commercial floors, depending on what yours needs.
How long does floor waxing take to dry?
Each coat usually dries in 30 to 45 minutes. A full strip and wax with several coats runs four to eight hours including dry time, which is why we schedule it after hours — your Toronto or Durham facility walks in to a finished floor the next morning.
