We primarily use hot-water extraction (also called steam cleaning) — the method most recommended by carpet manufacturers for deep cleaning. For commercial applications, we use both truck-mounted and portable commercial-grade equipment. For delicate fibres or situations where wet methods aren't suitable, we offer low-moisture alternatives.
How long does carpet cleaning take and how soon can it be walked on?
Cleaning time depends on area and soiling level — a typical 1,000 sq ft office carpet takes 2–4 hours. Drying time is typically 4–8 hours with good ventilation. We recommend allowing at least 4 hours before regular foot traffic, or scheduling the clean after hours so carpets are dry by morning.
Can you remove old or set-in stains?
Many stains respond well to our pre-treatment and extraction process. Set-in stains (coffee, wine, ink, pet stains) are more challenging but we treat each one specifically. Some stains permanently affect dye in the fibre — we'll assess and give you an honest expectation before we begin.
How often should commercial carpets be professionally cleaned?
The Carpet and Rug Institute recommends professional cleaning every 12–18 months for light-traffic areas and every 6–12 months for high-traffic commercial spaces. Walk-off zones near entrances may benefit from more frequent spot cleaning and interim cleans.
